Here's a quick questionnaire to help you find your way through the early maze of candidates out there and get you warmed up for Indecision 2008. I also played at the end with the "sliders" that allow you to weigh the issues you value most.
Although I can't vote my top 3 were:
Biden
Hilary
Obama
If you haven't had enough election stuff, take a peak at Colbert's column in yesterday's edition of the NY Times.

10 comments:
1. Bill Richardson
2. Chris Dodd
3. Mike Hukabee
Then:
4-tie. Joe Biden
4-tie. Mike Gravel
6-tie. Hillary Clinton
6-tie. Dennis Kucinich
8. John McCain
9. Barak Obama
10. Rudy Giuliani
11. John Edwards
12. Mitt Romney
13. Sam Brownback
14-tie. Ron Paul
14-tie. Tom Tancredo
16-tie. Duncan Hunter
16-tie. Fred Thompson
Interesting stuff. Mostly, I'm just really happy to see Fred Thompson last.
Interesting to see that the three leading Democrats (Clinton, Obama, Edwards) are rated as my bottom three Dems (Clinton is tied with Kucinich).
Here's another one. On that one, I came out as follows:
1-tie. Dodd
1-tie. Kucinich
3. Clinton
4-tie. Edwards
4-tie. Biden
6. Obama
7. Gravel
8. Richardson
9. Paul
10. Giuliani
11. McCain
12. Romney
13. Huckabee
14. Tancredo
15-tie. Brownback
15-tie. Hunter
(this was assembled before Fred Thompson entered the race)
I got 0% similarity scores with Brownback and Hunter. I'm actually surprised to see Richardson and Gravel fall that low on this one, and after Paul, I'm surprised by order of the Republicans.
Averaging the two together (place only), I get
1. Dodd
2. Kucinich
3-tie. Biden
3-tie. Richardson
5. Clinton
6. Gravel
7. Obama
8. Edwards
9. Huckabee
10. McCain
11. Giuliani
12. Paul
13. Romney
14-tie. Tancredo
14-tie. Brownback
16. Hunter
I didn't include Fred Thompson since he was only in one of the two algorithms. This is averaged result is actually fairly close to what I would've expected beforehand.
I must not be too consistent. I just retook the second one, and my order changed a bit so that Dodd and Clinton now tied for first and Edwards had jumped to third. Clearly I'm a little wishy-washy on an issue or two!
My score varied on whether I wanted to keep the Mexicans in or out.
I had Obama, Gravel and Kucinich. I only took it once and didn't mess with too many of the issues on the slider bar.
